POEMS

MIFFED

Adieu little angel
Like an unidentified specimen
I can’t explain the odds
Until my soundings are complete
The wait is so agonizing
Little more pieces to the puzzle
Will be very enlightening
To finally lay you to rest
Without fear and a fuss

I will just pretend
To not believe in death
That you have gone on a journey
Of a thousand years or more
I will call out your names in whispers and rhymes
Just like I used to do to soothe your pains
For your absence is surely a trick

Your star was plucked out the sky today
It shone its last a minute ago
Its sparkle was tender and blue
Just like your little cheeky cheeks
This world is now dim and dark
Without your grins and giggles
Heaven must have been at loss
To take you back so soon
Adieu little angel
